Plant Diversity

Plant Diversity doesn't spring to mind when you think desert, but Joshua Tree is actually renowned for its plant diversity - there are over 800 species in the park. In fact, the original name suggested was Desert Plants National Park.

Wilderness

Joshua Tree National Park is almost 800,000 acres and ecompasses six mountain ranges and two deserts!

This is not a park to drive through. There is no central attraction. Just miles and miles of wild, unspoilt desert!

You really need to get out and hike to appreciate Joshua Tree. Oh, and don't miss watching the sun set - fantastic!
